Greenville SC Housing Update for First Quarter 2023
First quarter results are in for 2023 and the numbers are below. These results are from Jan. 1- March 31 and the comparison is to the same time period in 2022 for single family homes, condos and townhomes above $100,000.
The average cost of these home for the period ended March 2023 is $359,037 which is a 3% increase in sold price.
The most expensive home sold was in Simpsonville and went for $5,550,000.
The most expensive condo sold for $1,603,467 and was located in downtown Greenville.
The market for Greenville homes located in the city limits has tightened further driving up cost way above the 3% average for the market overall.
Average days on the market has increased to 56 days. Things have slowed a bit. My overall take on the market is that good inventory is tightening further and demand keeps driving prices up even though interest rates have risen. I had a very good first quarter I believe because most people, especially those not from this area really want an buyer’s agent on their side to help them be sure they are finding the right and best home for their money. In a great area!
